It was announced yesterday, April 26th by CEO of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival Laurent Puons, that actor and producer Michael Douglas is to be honoured with the prestigious Crystal Nymph at the forthcoming 59th edition of the Monte-Carlo Television Festival this June.
The Crystal Nymph will be presented by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco at the Festival’s Closing Ceremony.
Previous Crystal Nymph honourees include Helen Mirren, Mariska Hargitay, Marg Helgenberger, Patricia Arquette and Donald Sutherland.
Laurent Puons said, “Michael Douglas’ long career encompasses television, film and theatre at the highest level, and he continues to be one of today’s most highly-respected actors. It’s a great pleasure to welcome such an outstanding talent to our Festival and to recognise the huge impact his work has had on the global television industry.”
The 59th Monte-Carlo Television Festival will take place from Friday, June 14th to Tuesday, June 18th.
