From January, 23 in Belgrade, Serbia, is shooting the new movie “Despite the Falling Snow”.
From the award winning director Shamim Sarif it is based on her own book.
Moscow, 1959: communist Katya is a young and beautiful spy for the Americans in the Cold War arms race. When she lands her biggest assignment and begins stealing secrets from rising government star Alexander, an idealistic Communist politician, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with him. Rebecca Ferguson (The White Queen) is Katya and Sam Reid (Posh, The Railway Man, Anonymous) is Alexander.
In the cast also the Londoner Oliver Jackson Cohen (Dracula, World without End, Faster ) as Misha and British actor and musician Anthony Head (Buffy: Vampire Slayer, Merlin, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters) as the old Misha.
There is also a release date for Canada: September 15, 2014. The day after the end of the Toronto Film Festival.
