For Broadway addicted it could seems too good to be true but actually it is not. It’s all real, so bring your pen and your agenda and open it on May 19 because Broadway and Glee star, Mr. Jonathan Groff himself will star in the London concert staging of the 1960s musical How To Succed in Business without Really Trying, features the Royal Philarmonic Orchestra at the Royal Festival Hall.
Jonathan Groff portrays Finch, a role originated on Broadway by Mad Men‘s Robert Morse and more recently played by Harry Potter himself Daniel Radcliffe.
After his huge success in Broadway outstanding musical Spring Awakening, Mr Groff, who will turn 30 in two days (on March 26) and as birthday gift dreams a new ironing board, has been on the small screen as Jesse St.James in Glee, in HBO television movie The Normal Heart, in the HBO series Looking and before in another series called Boss. But Jonathan Groff counts also few big screen appearances: Taking Woodstock, Twelve Thirty, The Conspirator, C.O.G. and recently American Sniper and as Kristoff voice in Frozen. All alongside a brilliant Broadway and musical career.
The London concert, in fact, is scheduled after the off-Broadway closing of the musical Hamilton in which Mr Groff is featured as King George.
Jonathan Groff previously co-starred in the play Deathrap in London’s West End in 2010 and this concert, for European fans (as I am) it’s absolutely an unmissable opportunity to hear one of the best Broadway star live.
