A UK poster and trailer (click here) have arrived online for the upcoming Cold War drama Despite the Falling Snow which stars Rebecca Ferguson, Sam Reid and Oliver Jackson Cohen. The film is written and directed by Shamim Sarif and is adapted from her original novel.
Moscow, 1959: communist Katya is a young and beautiful spy for the Americans in the Cold War arms race. When she lands her biggest assignment and begins stealing secrets from rising government star Alexander, an idealistic Communist politician, the last thing she expects is to fall in love with him. Reconciling her passion for him with her beliefs about communism means making the greatest sacrifice of her life. A sacrifice that Alexander only uncovers thirty years later in 90s New York. His journey back to the snowbound streets of Moscow uncovers a love triangle and betrayals from those he trusted most.
