The Resident season 2 is upon us..just a fortnight (more or less) and then we’ll be able to spend our Mondays with our favorite Chastain‘s docs as The Resident returns for its second season on September 24th at 8 p.m. on FOX.

We’ll meet again with all our favorite characters: Conrad Hawkins (Matt Czuchry), Nic Nevin (Emily VanCamp), Devon Pravesh (Manish Dayal), Mina Okafor (Shaunette Renée Wilson), AJ “The Raptor” Austin (Malcolm-Jamal Warner), and Randolph Bell (Bruce Greenwood). But we’ll meet also few new faces:  Jenna Dewan (Step Up, Supergirl, Witches of East End) will play the recurring role of Julian Lynn, a medical device rep who can connect with just about anybody while Jane Leeves (Frasier) will be Dr. Kitt Voss, the hospital’s new star orthopedic surgeon. We had a brief encounter with Glenn Morshower (Bloodline, Supergirl), who plays Conrad’s father Marshall Winthrop in season 1. He will be series regular in season 2; and as the new chairman of the board at the hospital who has vowed to get the hospital on firm financial footing is sure to cause tension with Conrad and the others.

But, calling here all the Gilmore Girls‘ fans, be ready for one of the best GG reunion you can imagine: part of world beloved Life and Death Brigade will reunite as Tanc Sade (Logan’s pal Finn in GG) will be guest-starring in the new season as Josh Robinson!
