It’s been 10 years since the Londoner actor Luke Mably (born in 1979) caught the imagination of an entire generation, playing the Prince of Denmark Eddie in The Prince and Me longside Julia Stiles, the student Page Morgan (from a family who own a farm).
Now Luke Mably is ready to return home to England (after the movie Exam in 2009) to take part in the new project signed Richwater Films.
The shooting of the Reign of the General began on March 11th and will take place both in Essex and in East London.
The movie is based on the life of underworld icon Carlton Leach aka The Footsoldier.
Leach was born in Canning Town in 1959 and he was catapulted into a criminal career by his love of West Ham United F.C.
He was a member of the notorious Inter City Firm, a gang of hooligans who followed the East London club.
He currently resides with his family in Hutton, Essex.
The movie is written and directed by Ricci Harnett (Vendetta).
He is also the main character Carlton Leach.
Harnett has already played Leach in the 2007 movie Rise of the Footsoldier by Julian Gilbey based on Leach’s memoir Muscle.
Alongside Harnett and Luke Mably in the movie also Nabil Elouahabi (Zero Dark Thirty), Slaine Kelly (Sket), Andy Linden (The Business), Joshua Osei (Vendetta), Steven Berkoff (The Krays) and Coralie Rose (Dead Cert).
