On the stage of the amazing Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, during the closing evening of the 13th Montecarlo Film Festival de la Comedie actor Billy Zane has been awarded with one of the six Lifetime Achievement Award of the evening alongside Italian actresses Cristiana Capotondi and Claudia Cardinale, Italian 6-time Accademy awarded Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo and French actor Claude Brasseur.
Best known as Leonardo Di Caprio love opponent in Titanic, Billy Zane has been awarded by Italian actor Ezio Greggio with whom Zane starred in 1994 in The Silence of Innocence‘s parody movie The Silence of the Hams. After a clip from that movie, Zane joked about it and Leo’s recent Oscar : “I’m happy because a young actor with whom I had the honor to work, recently won the most prestigious award … is Ezio Greggio with his role in The Silence of the Hams”.
After that, Zane spoke about his new projects which are directly releated to London. The American actor, in fact, will soon reach the British capital where he is filming a new television series for American channel ABC.
The new Tv series, Guilt, is inspired by the same Italian tragic crime episode that has already inspired the 2014 English movie The Face of an Angel.
Created by Kathryn Price and Nichole Millard about an American student in London whose roommate is murdered, Guilt is set to debut in the 2016–2017 television season on Freeform.
