“Knives Out” or a family feud in time for festivities

KNIVES-OUT-e1572299022110

A gothic manor, a wealthy family meeting and suddenly a death. When the old patriarch and successful crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) commits suicide, the variegated (and spoiled) court of relatives had to deal with a surprising will and the arrival of detective Benoit Blanc (a funny Daniel Craig, successfully dusting James Bond shade off his career) who is convinced that someone may have helped the old man to die. An exhilarating series of events will suddenly develop.

The movie begins with an introduction of director and screenwriter Rian Johnson, begging the audience not to spoil the ending on socials and we will keep the promise we met. But we invite you all to attend this exhilarating dark comedy featuring a cast in a state of grace (who just won the National Board of Review Award for Best Ensemble and in which shine the real estate greedy couple Don Johnson and Jamie Lee Curtis and the life style guru Toni Collette) and a screenplay rich of quotes and surprises which pushes you, once you know the culprit, to watch the movie again to enjoy the in-jokes and references.
